Maybelline Super BB Cushion

Do you know that lately people are obsessed with makeup that gives you such a dewy and healthy-looking skin? If we take a look at 2015-2016, do you have any idea what is really happening in the makeup market? Yes, it is Highlighter & BB Cushion.

What is BB Cushion?

BB Cushion is actually kind of like BB Cream that is put into a container along with other ingredients in it. Inside the container, you have a sponge that has the bb cream inside it. I’m not sure where is this come from or created, but the thing that I know is that BB Cushion is originated from Korea (or at least I saw Korean using it for really long time) before other western brand like Maybelline, L’Oreal, and many other brand decided to create it too.

So, today we are talking about Maybelline Super BB Cushion!

This product claims:

Actually when I first bought it, I never heard any news or any makeup review about this. I was in the mall and I looked for a nice foundation because it has been a long time since I bought one. Then, I saw this beautiful packaging sit nicely in the display. At first, I was unsure to buy that since it is not that cheap, but I decided to give it a try since I read Glycerin is on the ingredient. Basically, Glycerin is something that will give your skin such a hydrated look and moist feeling. It will stick into your face and it will last long on your face. If I have to say one of the famous brands that have Glycerin in it is Nivea After Shave Balm. If you all familiar with it, it was booming because one of Beauty Guru, NikkieTutorial used it. It has Glycerin in it that makes your face look dewy and it will stick into your face like glue.

Anyway, back to topic, my skin is combination type. It is dry around my mouth and cheeks but it is oily around my T-Zone. I decided to buy it because I have been curious with BB Cushion.  When I opened it up, I was amazed by the beautiful packaging.

It has the silver packaging with the white under it. I don’t know, it looks really elegant, isn’t it? When I opened it up, I just cannot say anything hahaha. It is beautiful!

I don’t know why lol maybe I have some of mental obsession to the makeup. I just amazed on the beauty of their packaging, their product inside, I don’t know, don’t ask me about it. It.is.just.stunning!

Anyway, I got shade number 2 which is Light. I guess it only has 2 shades which are Light and Natural. 

After a little war with myself because I don’t want to ruin the beautiful packaging, I decided to use it. When I first applied it, I was amazed on their high coverage! Well, maybe it’s not like super high coverage but it hides my dark circle and blemishes super well. I like the feeling of putting it in using the sponge that they gives because it just soft and glides smoothly.

This is my face before use any of the BB Cushion. You can see I have lots of redness going on in my cheeks.

It is the result after using it. Yes, you can still see some redness in my cheeks but it covers pretty well. The dark circle under my eyes covered pretty well too, I must say that this Bb Cushion covers my under eye better than my concealer. 

I’m not sure you can see it or not, but the finishing of this cushion is really dewy. You can see your face is glowing and looking healthy. For super dry skin people, or someone who like dewy finish, you can just go with it without setting it with powder, it will be wonderful! But if you are someone like me, who doesn’t like feeling oily and sticky, then you can set it with powder. I can say that both are working beautiful and amazing too. I can say that this product is good for both of the skin type.

Then, this is my face after powder, bronzer, blush, and highlighter and all of that stuff. I can say that I am really impressed and happy with this product. It is a bit pricey (at least for me) but this works beautiful and nice!

Application:

Inside the Cushion you will get a sponge kind of powder sponge inside it. At first I thought I would not like it because it looks like ordinary powder sponge. But it is not! It works really great and it can give you what the product should do. It gives you high coverage with the dewy finish. I tried to use brush to apply it, but it does not give you such a coverage that this product can gives you. I tried to use Beauty Blender/Beauty Sponge, but still, it works better than the brush but the sponge that comes in packaging can gives you the best result of all. It is my first time to love a sponge that comes in the packaging. This sponge is magic!

Overall, I’m really impressed and love this product! I will definitely repurchase it! I’m also interested to try other BB Cushion especially Korean BB Cushion. Any recommendation? Please tell me down below!
