Pixy Pure Finish Compact Powder

Hey lovelies!

To be honest, I haven’t found a super super good powder that makes my skin super flawless. But, there are some products that I like because it keeps my face matte without making it dry. I am also beyond happy because that product is from my own country, Indonesia. Not because the sense of nationalism or anything, but if it came from my country, it must be cheaper than brands outside Indonesia. HAHAHA. #EvilLaugh

Today I want to talk about Pixy. Not Pixi. It’s Pixy. The product is made in Indonesia but licensed by Mandom Corporation Japan. To be honest (for the thousand times), I purchased this because the packaging is super cute! The packaging is pink with white lace. I did not expect much because it is an Indonesian brand. Again, I’m not being shit or anything to my own country but products that came from my country always look bad on me. Sometimes it can be unblended, make me dry, make me oily, and many more.

That is why I’m super excited that this powder works for me! :)

This product claims:
-  SPF 25 & PA +++, optimal protection towards UVB and UVA rays
- Matte lucent powder
 Non comedogenic – clinically tested
Natural Whitening Extract & Derivat Vitamin C, as whitening agent

In my opinion, this powder is great for daily use. It does not give me any coverage or make my skin whiter but it makes my skin smoother. The most important thing, it gives me a matte finish look without making it dry.

To sum up, my opinions

Pros:
-  Great everyday powder
- Matte finish look without making it cakey
- Super pretty and princess like packaging
- Super cheap and affordable

Cons:
It does not smell really good at first but it will disappear
- Light coverage, you have to apply more :)

Until next time!

Maybelline Color Tattoo

Hello lovelies!

Even though I am not really a fan of eye shadow, I really want to try so many beautiful eye shadows on the market. Looking at the beauty guru on the YouTube really made me craving for eye shadow because they are just too wonderful!

There are many types of eye shadow on the market. We have glitter eye shadow which is mostly they are put in the little jar. We also have eye shadow palette like usual. Also, we have cream eye shadow which is put in the little pot. Today, we are gonna talk about Maybelline Color Tattoo!

Many people are talking about this product because of their quality. They came in many colors and mine is in the shade Bad to the Bronze. It is a glittery dark brown which looks really good on the eyelid. Some people said that this eye shadows are dupe for the Mac Paint Pot.

This product claims:
“Our ink technology creates super-saturated color. Cream gel smoothes on for vibrant color that does not fade. Ophthalmologist tested. Suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearer.”

Ingredients:
Cyclopentasiloxane, Isododecane, Polypropylsilsesquioxane, Ceresin, Cyclohexasiloxane, Caprylyl Methicone, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Alumina, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Cyclomethicone, Propylene Carbonate, Candelilla Cera / Candelilla Wax / Cire De Candelilla, Caprylyl Glycol, C30-45 Alkyldimethylsilyl Polypropylsilsesquioxane, Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, Silica, Polyethylene Terephthalate, Tin Oxide, Acrylates Copolymer, Paraffin. May Contain: Mica, CI 77891 / Titanium Dioxide, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499 / Iron Oxides, CI 77007 / Ultramarines, CI 19140 / Yellow 5 Lake, CI 16035 / Red 40 Lake, CI 77000 / Aluminum Powder, CI 77510 / Ferric Ferrocyanide, CI 75470 / Carmine, CI 42090 / Blue 1 Lake, CI 77400 / Bronze Powder, CI 77288 / Chromium Oxide Greens, CI 77289 / Chromium Hydroxide Green, CI 77742 / Manganese Violet, CI 77400 / Copper Powder, CI 77163 / Bismuth Oxychloride, CI 77510 / Ferric Ammonium Ferrocyanide

For me, this cream eye shadow is really good. The color is really pigmented and strong. It is also creamy so the application is really smooth. I think it will be best for oily eyelid people because cream eye shadow tend to stick more on it. The best application for this cream eye shadow is using your fingers. I have tried others method to apply this eye shadow but nothing beats your own fingers. If you use your fingers, the color will really shows and pigmented. This eye shadow is also long lasting and does not crease on you.

To sum up, my opinions on Maybelline Color Tattoo

Pros:
- Really pigmented
- The color is super pretty
- Long lasting
- Creamy and smooth

Maybe exaggerating but I have not find any negative thing or opinion for this cream eye shadow. You definitely should try it yourself!

LA Girl Pro Conceal

 Hi, lovelies!

Do you hate dark circles? Do you have a really annoying dark circles? Me too! I have ugly dark circles that really annoy me. There was no right concealer for me to hide my dark circles! If I use it too much, it will get cakey under my eyes and it’s not cute, guys. I tried to search the best concealer, so I watch YouTube for a recommendation. There are some good concealers of course…but the price… it’s ironic. A lot of beauty gurus recommend either Urban Decay Naked Concealer, Nars Creamy concealer, or the newest hype concealer in the market is Tarte Shape Tape Concealer. I really want to try it! I mean, I am already in the stage of depression for my dark circles because there wasn’t any concealer that will do great for me. But I have to face the reality that I could not afford it, so I decided to search the drugstore version.

I watched a lot of beauty guru recommend La Girls Pro Conceal. Then, I checked for the price and I was happy because it is really affordable. I watched more review about it and there was no one talks bad about this product. Then, without thinking more about it, I purchased it! There are so many color selections for this concealer and even there is some shades that you can use for contour. Beside contour, they also have color correcting shades like Green, Yellow, and Orange.

I purchased two shades for this product. For the concealer, I choose classic ivory and it matches really well with my skin tone. Then, the other shade is for color correcting, I bought Orange Corrector. For some of you who does not know it, basically Orange corrector is for dark circles (to hide), Green is for blemish like redness on your face, and Yellow is for bruises, hide veins, or brighten under eye. It is also great to evening out an uneven skin tone.

This product claims:
Crease-resistant, opaque coverage in a creamy yet lightweight texture. The long-wearing formula camouflages darkness under the eyes, redness and skin imperfections. Provides complete, natural-looking coverage, evens skin tone, covers dark circles and minimizes fine lines around the eyes.

This blendable and buildable formula provides the ultimate, customizable coverage. This must-have concealer includes a soft brush-tip for easy application.
·         Camouflages the appearance of skin imperfections
·         Evens out skin tone
·         Covers dark circles
·         Minimizes fine lines
·         Provides customizable coverage

Ingredients:
Water (Aqua), Cyclopentasiloxane, Beeswax (Cera Alba) Stearyl Dimethicone, Isododecane, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Microcrystalline Wax (Cera Microcristallina), Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Glyceryl Laurate, Polyglyceryl-4 Oleate, Mica, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Butylparaben, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Tocopheryl Acetate, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Propylene Glycol, Chamomilla Recutita Extract, Propylene Carbonate, Sodium Hyaluronate, MAY CONTAIN: Iron Oxides, (CT 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891).

In my opinion, the concealer is really great. It helps so much to cover my dark circles even though it cannot completely cover it up. The formula is also lightweight so it does not make me look cakey. The staying power is quite long too.

For the orange corrector, I love this corrector! It is great to help camouflage my dark circle. For you who does not understand how to use it, basically, you apply this orange corrector in your under eye then blend it. At first, it will look red and orange under your eyes then you cover it up with the concealer until the red color does not show up anymore. It will help so much to cover your dark circles. At first, this technique was booming because someone (I don’t know who) tried to use red lipstick under her eyes to cover her dark circles and it works. But, using red lipstick might look really red and it couldn’t blend well. So, a lot of products come up with orange corrector which has the same purpose.

I recommend using them both. Apply this orange corrector first, and then you can cover it with the concealer. It will help you to hide the dark circles better than just using the concealer. But note that you don’t want to use it too much because it will look cakey in your face.

Type    : Concealer. Corrector
Size     : 0.28 oz (8gr)

Overall, I am really impressed with these products! I already expect that this product will be good because people are talking about this and it has been their all time favorite. It is also really affordable but not with cheap quality. You need to try this!

Until next time,

Makeover Trivia Eye Shadow

Hello lovelies!

You know the thing that I don’t really interested about in the past? The thing that I always skip every time I watch a makeup tutorial? It’s eye shadow! I don’t really interested in eye shadow before because I find that little thing is deymn hard to do! It’s really complicated and I know, I know that I will end up like a mess.

So, I was not really interested before. But but. But! After watching tutorials from beauty guru like Kathleen Lights, Nikkie Tutorial, Tati, and so on, I find that hmmm maybe eye shadow is worth to try!

Today I would like to talk about the first eye shadow palette that I bought! This was highly recommended by my friend. She said that it is soooo good and easy to wear. That is a brand from Indonesia! Yes, we are talking about Indonesian product again today! It is Makeover Trivia Eye Shadow.

This product claims:
·         Oil absorber
·         High performance particle powder: full coated particle
·         Quality spreading
·         Semi waterproof
·         Soft and silky
·         Long lasting

Ingredients:
Mica, Methicone, Glyceryl Trioctanoate, Dimethinocol Stearate, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Diisostearyl Malate, Zinc Myristate, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Dimethicone, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Zinc Stearate, Titanium Dioxide, Dimethicone  / Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Silica, Squalane, Nylon – 12 , Aluminium Stratch Octenylsuccinate, Isopropyl Titanum Triisostearate, Talc, Quaternium – 15, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Dimethiconol, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite.

First of all, look at the colors! It’s really a nice neutral everyday color. For beginner, you have to try this eye shadow palette because it’s just everything you need! This eye shadow is also super long lasting! I wore this on an event from the early morning until night and the eye shadow is still on! Also, you know what else? The pigmentation is crazy. It is really creamy and the color shows really good. You know usually a cheap eye shadow tend to be dry and have lots of fallout and the color is not strong at all. But this eye shadow is really great. Honestly I feel so proud that Indonesian brand can come up with a product this good. I think it’s better for you to see it yourself how the crazy pigmentation is!

Application:

We have 3 beautiful colors here and those are enough just for your everyday wear. For me, I usually use the light yellowish-brown color for my base. Usually when I want to have a no makeup – makeup look, I only use that color for my eye and it will clean your eyes and make it look softer and brighter.
Then, if you want to define my eyes, I use the next shade, the brown color for my outer. I use that to shape my eyes. But you can use this on your lid too to make your eyes pop. But this brown is dark enough for me to apply it on my outer.

The last is this dark brown. I don’t really use this dark brown because for me this is really dark and it does not look good on me if I use this in my outer. But if you like it, of course this is a really great color to define your eyes / to put it in the outer corner of your eyes.

Then, with a blending eye shadow brush, just blend it all!

Overall, I really freaking love this eye shadow. It has the best pigmentation, it does not have a lot of fallout and it has the best staying power! The color is also nice too. This eye shadow has 4 others color selection and they are all look awesome. You know what is the best thing ever? It’s cheap! :D

Until next time!

Wardah Eyeshadow N Series

Hello everyone!

Today I would like to review an Indonesian makeup product. Right, I am Indonesian! I rarely buy and review about Indonesian makeup product because most of the time I do not like them. It’s not that I think that brand outside Indonesia or maybe famous brand are better, it’s just I haven’t found a makeup brand from Indonesia that is good enough in my opinion.

But nowadays makeup game is going strong in the market. A lot of products are trying to give their best to satisfy the customer. I think those Indonesian brands nowadays are already better and good quality! Today, I would like to review one of the Indonesian’s makeup brands, Wardah.

This product claims:
This 3 in 1 eye shadow is ready to beautify your eyelids with particle microcoated formula for long-lasting results.

Giving the color to the eyes to give accent to your makeup. Available in 14 variant which is a blend of attractive colors for everyday look or party.

The texture is very smooth and easy to blend. For best results use a base eye shadow before the application.

Ingredients:
Mica, Triethylhexanoin, Talc, Zinc Myristate, Diisostearyl Malate, Dimetichone, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Zinc Stearate, Hydrogen Dimeticone, Squalane, Dimethiconol Stearate, Nylon – 12, PTFE, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Quaternium – 15, Isopropyl Myristate, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Palmitic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Benzoic Acid, Methicone, Aluminium Hydroxide, Tin Oxide, Silica.

On one fine evening, I was just sitting and watching makeup videos on YouTube then one of Indonesian youtuber reviewed this product. At first, the only reason I buy this is because I was really interested in the highlighting color of this eye shadow. I wanted to buy highlighter at that time but I don’t have enough money to buy a “real” highlighter or Highlighter like Mary Lou, or Becca, or Anastasia Beverly Hills, or Colourpop, etc. So, I was really interested when she showed me that one of the colors in the Wardah’s eye shadow can be used as Highlighter.

Also, it was not this eye shadow that she showed in the video. I have no idea where to buy that eye shadow and I have no idea the name of the eye shadow. I just remembered that the color was light brown, brown, and white shimmery shadow that she used as Highlighter.

When I came to the store, the seller told me that there was no eye shadow like what I described. So, I was disappointed because I wanted Highlighter so much! Then, I looked around to the other eye shadow in the display and this eye shadow caught my attention because of the white shimmer shadow.

Then I thought that this could be used as Highlighter so I bought this eye shadow. Then, I was really impressed because it works! When you first applied it, it might look white a bit like glitter but when you blend it, it will give you glow as a Highlight. I mostly use this as the highlighter on my nose. I tried to use it in my cheeks but it does not look so good. So, I decided to use this on nose instead.

To be honest, I never wear other color from this palette and I never use this palette for my eye shadow. But when I swatches it on my hand, I can say that this eye shadow is pretty pigmented. The blue color may not look as intense as on the palette but the color still showing strongly.

Details:
Name   : Wardah Eye Shadow N Series
Type    : Eye Shadow
Size     : 4,2 g
Rate     : 8/10
Price    : IDR 46.000 / I don’t think they can ship to outside Indonesia. Sorry!

In my opinion, this eye shadow might great for beginners or students who do not have much money to buy makeup; this can be a good starter. Also, because highlighter as so demynn expensive, you can use the shimmer one as your highlighter!

What is your favorite Eye Shadow from Indonesian’s Makeup brand? Please let me know!

Until next time!

Xoxo,

Jess.

The Balm Mary - Lou Manizer

Hello everyone!

Like what I said in my previous post, these days, people are obsessed dewy and glowy skin. 2015 was the year of glow! A lot of makeup product released so many good and beautiful highlighters for the makeup junkie. It is still going on hard until today.

There are already lots of good highlighters in the market and today I will talk about the classic and the long time favorite highlighter, The Balm Mary – Lou Manizer.

This product claims:
A seemingly innocent honey-hued luminizer that catches everybody’s eye. This highlighter, shadow and shimmer diffuse light so your skin looks softer and younger while adding a subtle glow.

Ingredients:
Mica, Isoeicosane, Polyethylene, Boron nitride, Polyisobutene, ptfe, Silica, Synthetic wax, Dimethicone, Titanium dioxide (ci 77891), Iron oxide (ci 77491).

I have been wanted to buy a highlighter since the makeup games nowadays are filled with it. Long before, I had no intention or interest in highlighter because I think it makes you look oily. I live in a humid and hot weather, my face most of the time always oily. That is why I think using Highlighter does not make you glowy but makes you look oily instead.

But because I watched a lot of YouTube videos #YouTubeMadeMeBuyIt, plus I became fans of Jaclyn Hill, a beauty youtuber, or we can say the mother of Highlighter, I am really curious and interested with Highlighter!

Then, I began to look for Highlighter. I was thinking to buy Colourpop Highlighter in Wisp or The Balm Mary – Lou Manizer. I tried to search for review in YouTube and a lot of people were saying that even there are lots of highlighter in the market, Mary – Lou always became their long time favorite and their classic highlighter. Because lots of positive review, I decided to buy Mary – Lou instead.

First, I like it because it has a round a big pan. It deserves the price. Then, I like it because it is like a gold glow, so it makes the glow really popped up. I think the highlighter is not as strong as Becca highlighter or as weak as other highlighter, it is just right in the middle. It gives you glow but not like over glow.

But, I do not know why, from close, the highlighter in my face looks streaky or it looks like it is unblended. It looks good from far, but from close, it seems strange. I tried to blend it real hard, but still it somehow looks streaky.

Details:
Name   : The Balm Mary – Lou Manizer
Type    : Highlighter, Shadow, and Shimmer
Size     : 8.5 g / 0.3 OZ
Rate     : 8/10
Price    : IDR 250.000 / $24.00

Besides the problem that I had, I still love this highlighter. It gives me glow and it works as it is stated. I think that I wanted to try other too so that I could compare it. Maybe Colourpop or Becca? Or maybe Anastasia Bevery Hills. I guess they make really great highlighter!

ps:
Here is the pic of me wearing this Highlighter! Careful with the glow B-)

Until next time,

Xoxo,

Jess.
